Remember, you matter. Be kind, stay informed, and we will get through this together.
We are family doctors who take care of all kinds of medical needs, including those of pregnant women and babies. If you choose to continue with the pregnancy, we will see you regularly for appointments during the pregnancy. Being pregnant and having a baby are healthy, natural processes, but sometimes medical problems can come up. We will watch for these and help you to deal with them. Dr. Diana C. and Dr. Giselle both deliver babies, as well – one of us (or someone on our team at the hospital) might even be at your delivery!
We are here at The Alex every day and we work closely with the doctors and youth support specialists. You can see us even without an appointment, to discuss general medical concerns, get a pregnancy test, or do STI screening. Part of our job is to help determine if people need to see a doctor for further care.
I am the Pre/Post Natal Specialist at The Alex. I love working with pregnant moms, dads-to-be, and babies! I work together with the nurses and doctors to help you have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. I can help you with:
- Getting ready to be a parent
- Housing and financial options
- Accessing resources and connecting with other professionals if needed
- Collecting baby items like clothes, diapers, toys, and breast pumps
- Booking ultrasound and specialist appointments
- Arranging dental work, medication coverage, furniture, haircuts, eye glasses, recreation passes, clothes, identification and more!
I can also help take you to appointments and visit you at your house or wherever works for you. Sometimes I even go to the hospital with my clients when they give birth to their babies!
