It’s not news to say that the realities of our “new normal” are impacting our mental health.
We haven’t been able to see our loved ones as often, we’ve been isolated, we are under stress at home and at work, and there is always a threat of illness. It’s a lot.
You’re invited to join us for a reset.
A week to learn together, move, and expand our world past the four walls of our homes. Join us for a week of wellness activities: getting outside, adding some movement to your daily routine, learning new skills through webinars – and more, all geared towards your overall mental health and well-being.
Date: July 19th-24th
Location: You can run or walk (or swim or bike – all movement is encouraged!) anywhere as long as you are respecting the provincial guidelines regarding physical distancing and other preventative measures surrounding COVID-19.
We’ll be offering opportunities to engage throughout the week. Stay tuned for the full schedule!
How you can Break the Silence:
Step #1 – Register your commitment to move and learn (and share with those around you!). We’ll help you reset with learning opportunities and healthy activities designed to expand your world outside throughout the week. Resources are available, and we want our community to know they are not alone. Think of it like flattening the mental illness curve. We want to ensure our mental health system has the resources to help every individual in need, and encouraging resilience among the general population ensures those with more intensive needs can be taken care of.
Step #2 – Fundraising. Participating in fundraising helps organizations across Alberta fund supportive programs and services for individuals and families to manage their mental health better. When Albertans have access to the right resources, they will be happier, healthier, and more productive. That’s something to get loud about.
