Our walk-in Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) clinic team at The Alex offers counselling and medication to help you break the cycle of chemical dependency. Many of our staff and volunteers have first-hand experience of the courage and commitment it takes to leave addiction behind. We’re here to help – completely without judgement.
We don’t need appointments. We’re here to help when you are ready to seek support.

Clinic Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Walk Ins: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Over-the-Phone Intakes: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Medication
Our medical professionals can prescribe medication to alleviate short-term withdrawal symptoms or provide long-term treatment that supports recovery.
Counselling
Many addictions start in the mind. Together, we explore the experiences and circumstances that shape substance use, and build supportive strategies for moving forward.
Safe Use Practices
We offer practical, non-judgemental support to help reduce the risks linked to substance use. Our approach focuses on safety, choice, and dignity, meeting you where you’re at.
Group Support
You are not alone. Find support and encouragement from others going through similar experiences and make healthy connections at regularly-scheduled meetings.
How We Work
Our Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Clinic is designed to be the first step on a journey of long-term wraparound, team-based care. That means we aim to do more than simply cure the symptoms of your substance dependence today. Our ultimate goal is to help you understand and overcome the causes of your addiction, too.
Working together with other clinics, programs, and organizations at The Alex and beyond, we’ll create a complete package of care that follows through – staying with you across services and steps.
