• The Alex Dental Health Bus officially joined our Mobile Health Fleet in January 2013. Serving vulnerable children and youth, the Dental Health Bus partners with local school boards and youth serving organizations in Calgary.
  • The Smiles Dental Clinic was added to our dental health services in Spring 2013, in response to the significant number of children from low-socioeconomic households in Calgary living with untreated dental disease. Partnering with Crescent Heights Dental, the Clinic provides essential restorative care to individuals identified by the Dental Health Bus.
  • In February 2013 a third ACT Team was added to the Pathways to Housing –¬†Housing First Program.¬† Funded by the Calgary Homeless Foundation, the new team works with individuals who have been identified as high users of emergency response centres in Calgary.
  • HomeBase responded to a call for proposals from the Calgary Homeless Foundation, and in May 2013 they opened a supportive housing complex for 20 formerly homeless men and women experiencing complex medical issues.
  • When the Calgary Flood of 2013 ravished our neighbours, The Alex Mobile Health Fleet served as first responders, deploying our Mobile Health Teams to Emergency Evacuation Centres in Calgary and surrounding communities.
