why volunteer at the alex
Volunteers are the heart of the alex. These dedicated individuals selflessly offer their time and talents to our clients. They work alongside our staff to enhance the quality of service we offer. They are the friendly faces who can do the little extras for our clients.
They help with relieving isolation for our newly-housed clients by becoming friendly visitors; they run cooking classes; art classes; they assist with running a food hamper program; they accompany clients to medical appointments; and they welcome new mums and their babies to the breastfeeding clinic.
