Seniors’ Health
Did you know that 16.4% of all seniors live in poverty? Pair this fact with social isolation, barriers to transportation, and lack of support networks and the result is a very vulnerable population. Our Seniors’ Health Centre recognizes these barriers, and provides a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare. Our primary goal is to increase well-being and quality of life by providing one-on-one comprehensive care.
Services
In addition to primary health care, seniors are able to access complementary services such as:
- chronic disease management
- smoking cessation
- nutrition
- pain management
- recreation therapy
Criteria
To be accepted as a client in our Seniors’ Health Centre, you must be:
- 55 years of age or older
- currently without a family physician
- low income
- facing complex health and social needs
Access
The Seniors’ Health Centre is located at 630 – 9 Avenue SE. We’re open Monday to Friday 8:30am to- 4:30pm. Clients can be referred to the Seniors’ Health Centre from other service providers or they can self refer. To make an appointment or for more information please call us at 403-920-0011.
