The alex has been providing innovative and effective health and social solutions for Calgarians in need since 1973. We embrace a multi-disciplinary model of health care that is accessible, responsive, nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory and participatory. We help people move from poverty to stability, improve quality of life, strengthen our community, and reduce strain on government services. Infants, youths, adults and seniors. People living in poverty. Those suffering from addictions and homelessness. Health and social issues affect them all. Each individual has unique physical, social and emotional needs that benefit from specific care rather than collective solutions.
It’s this insight that has driven our approach to healthcare for nearly 40 years – and our newly revitalized identity.
